An exquisite neoclassical royal residence built for Poland's last king, Stanisław August Poniatowski, set on an artificial island in the heart of Warsaw's Royal Łazienki Park. Transformed from a 17th-century baroque bathhouse by architect Domenico Merlini in the late 18th century, the palace appears to float on the lake. Inside, visitors admire the opulent Ballroom, the King's Picture Gallery, and halls adorned with marble and gilt.
