The 17th-century townhouse in Amsterdam where Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn lived and worked from 1639 to 1658. Meticulously restored using Rembrandt's original bankruptcy inventory of 1656, the house recreates his living quarters, cabinet of curiosities, and grand painting studio illuminated by natural northern light. The museum holds an almost complete collection of his original etchings, accompanied by daily printmaking demos.
