A museum housed in the Amstelhof, a classical 1681 building on the Amstel river that served as a home for the elderly until the 20th century. The Hermitage Amsterdam moved in here in 2009, and in 2023 the venue reopened as H'ART Museum, partnering with the Centre Pompidou, the British Museum and the Smithsonian. Its spacious, light-filled halls overlook the canal and host major international exhibitions, from old masters to contemporary art.
