Bangkok's oldest and most beloved public green lung, created in the 1920s by King Rama VI across 142 acres amidst the glittering skyscrapers of Silom and Sathorn. The lush retreat features jogging paths, shaded banyan and palm groves, and two artificial lakes offering paddleboats. It is famous for its wild population of giant water monitor lizards, which roam freely along the grass and swim in the lagoons.
