The Cebu Taoist Temple was constructed in 1972 by the city's prominent Chinese community, perched 300 metres above sea level in the Beverly Hills subdivision. The colorful complex features multi-tiered pagoda roofs, dragon carvings, a miniature Great Wall of China, and 81 steps representing the 81 chapters of the Tao Te Ching. Its terraces offer panoramic views over Cebu City and Mactan Island, welcoming visitors of all faiths for free.
