The Osaka Museum of Housing and Living recreates city streets at full scale: an Edo-period quarter with merchant houses, shops and a bathhouse can be walked through in a free yukata. Exhibits show how Osaka housing and everyday life changed from the Edo era to the post-war decades, with interactive models and the sounds of the old city. The museum occupies upper floors above Tenjinbashisuji Station.
