As we approach the southern part of the Old Town, not far from Levstikov Trg square, we find the Stična manor, where it is also worth visiting the Church of St James and the Chapel of St Francis Xavier, if you manage to get access! At the end of our Old Town, across the road on Karlovška Cesta, stands Gruber Palace, where it is also worth taking the time to look at the grand staircase and the chapel on the second floor, if it is open! MAP. Built between 1613 and 1615, the yellow Church of St James sits between the river, Castle Hill and the main road along the southern edge of the city center. The square in front was designed by Plecnik and the St. Mary's Column was added in 1682.
