An Ottoman-era architectural jewel on Skanderbeg Square in central Tirana, built between the 1790s and 1821 by Molla Bey and his son Haxhi Et'hem Bey. Spared during the communist destruction of religious monuments, it reopened to prayer in 1991. The mosque is renowned for its remarkable wall paintings outside and inside the portico, which depict flowing waterfalls, green trees, stone bridges, and natural pastoral scenery.
