A branch of the National Gallery devoted entirely to Bulgarian art of 1944–1989. Inside is socialist-realist painting, graphics and sculpture, while an open-air park gathers monuments of the era taken down from public squares: leaders, heroic workers and the red star from the Party House. Opened in 2011 near G. M. Dimitrov metro station, it paints a compact picture of official socialist culture in about an hour.
