Ružica Church is one of Belgrade's oldest and most atmospheric churches, nestled within the ramparts of Belgrade Fortress. Shrouded in dense climbing ivy, the entrance is guarded by bronze statues of a medieval knight and a World War I Serbian soldier. Inside, the church features remarkable candelabras fashioned by soldiers directly from battlefield trench relics: brass bullet shell casings, artillery shell fragments, and ceremonial sabres.
