A beer museum in a house on Sterneckerstrasse between Isartor and Marienplatz — said to be Munich's oldest residential building, dating to around 1327. Exhibits trace brewing from the Sumerians to Bavaria's 1516 purity law, plus a hall on the Oktoberfest with historic steins and memorabilia. The Museumsstüberl restaurant on the ground floor serves Bavarian food. Allow about an hour.
