Question 1

How to get from Lima airport to the Four Points by Sheraton Miraflores hotel?

Accepted Answer

A taxi is the best option: Miraflores is far from the airport and away from metro stations. A budget alternative is a bus to central Lima, then a transfer to a bus to Miraflores, but it takes longer and involves a walk from the metro.

Question 2

How to see the sights of Lima and Rio de Janeiro on a budget?

Accepted Answer

Entrance fees are the same for everyone, so save on transport: the cheapest option is local buses (a tourist bus on a Peru route costs about $250). In Rio use the metro and buses, book attraction tickets online, and buy long-distance bus tickets conveniently at bus terminals.

Question 6

How much does a taxi cost in Lima and how should you use it?

Taxis in Lima have no meters; the fare is negotiated in advance, so avoid street cabs and use official ones from hotels or shopping malls. A good alternative is Uber with a local SIM card; for short trips within one district you can haggle.

Question 7

Accepted Answer

You can swim within the city, but the seabed is rocky, the water is not very clean and very cold; surfers gather near Miraflores and Barranco. Locals go swimming to Asia, a resort area an hour away with hotels and beaches.

Question 8
